Hello friends,
Hello, I’m Kayte Klewin, the heart and soul behind Season of the Whisk. My love for food has been with me for as long as I can remember. It all started when I was just seven years old and asked for an EZ-Bake oven for Christmas. My mom, being the practical one, told me, “Just use the real oven!” And so, with a determined spirit, I climbed up onto a stool and set about preparing my first meal: cheeseburgers, mac and cheese, and canned green beans. It wasn’t gourmet by any means, but for me, it was magic. From that moment on, I was hooked. The kitchen became my sanctuary, a place where I could experiment, create, and most importantly, share the joy of food with others.Growing up in Connecticut, cooking was always a family affair. My mom was my first teacher, showing me the ropes of home-cooked meals, while my dad was my biggest challenger, constantly having me cook new recipes and step outside my comfort zone. Those early experiences planted the seeds for what would eventually become a lifelong passion.
At Season of the Whisk, I specialize in seasonal comfort food, taking full advantage of fresh, locally sourced ingredients to create meals that are rich in flavor and nostalgia. whether it's an intimate dinner party, a special celebration, or just a week of home-cooked meals that help take the stress off your busy life I pour my heart into every dish, ensuring that each bite is a celebration of the seasons and the people I’m cooking for. I believe food should not only nourish but also tell a story—your story, your traditions, your preferences—and that’s the philosophy I bring to every dish I prepare.Starting my own personal chef business has been one of the most fulfilling decisions I’ve made. There’s something incredibly special about working directly with clients, tailoring every meal to their tastes and needs. I love the challenge of creating meals that bring comfort, surprise, and excitement all at once. It’s not just about feeding people—it’s about crafting experiences that leave a lasting impression. If you’re ready to enjoy a truly personalized culinary experience, I’d love to help. Whether you’re planning a special event or simply want to savor a delicious, home-cooked meal, I’m here to make it happen.
I attended Lincoln Culinary Institute and began my professional journey at Foxwoods Resort Casino. I started as a line cook and worked my way up through the ranks to sous chef, where I had the opportunity to lead kitchen teams and refine my craft. Later, I shifted focus to banquet-style cooking in a hotel setting, where I honed my skills in large-scale meal preparation and event catering. But as much as I loved the hustle of high-pressure kitchens and the excitement of serving large groups, I realized something important: I was most fulfilled when I was cooking for people, not just in a restaurant. The intimacy of preparing a meal for someone, seeing their eyes light up with joy at the first bite, that’s what truly inspires me. It’s what led me to launch Season of the Whisk, a personal chef service dedicated to bringing culinary experiences into your home.
